REGISTRATION & PAYMENT PROCEDURES
Training fees for REGION 2 COUNTIES (Beaufort, Hyde, Craven, Pamlico, Tyrrell, And Washington) must pay $6 per person for 2.0 CHCs trainings. Continuing education unit (CEU) training fees will vary based on topic, materials needed, and training hours associated. Please call 252-975-4647 x0 if you have questions.
Training fees for OUTSIDE REGION 2: must pay an additional $6 for CHCs trainings and an additional $10 for CEU trainings offered. Please call 252-975-4647 x0 if you have questions.
BHPC offers 2 options of registering and paying for staff development workshops; (1) using our on-line training registration portal and (2) in person at our office. Credit or debit cards, money orders, or cash are accepted for the exact amount of the training fee. BHPC does not have the capabilities to make change.
On occasion, BHPC may offer a FREE TRAINING to Region 2 early educators only. To register for trainings offered free, please call or come by to register your name and information at the front desk. “No shows” at free training events may lose upcoming opportunities to register for other free training events for the remainder of the calendar year.
MISSED TRAININGS:
If you are unable to attend an already scheduled event, we ask that you notify BHPC no later than 9:00 a.m. the morning of a weekday training event. If the training is held on a weekend, notification must be made no later than 9:00 a.m. on the Thursday before the training is held.
Refunds are not issued however,a CREDIT to attend another training may be issued if notification is made as stated. This credit must be used within the same calendar year. No exceptions. Call 252-975-4647, x10.
SUBSTITUTIONS:
Registrants who cannot attend after they preregister may elect to get a substitute to replace them if they: (1) FIRST NOTIFY BHPC, (2) PAY AN EXTRA $2 SURCHARGE IN CASH NO LATER THAN 12 NOON ON THE DAY OF THE TRAINING.
CANCELLATIONS
BHPC reserves the right to postpone or cancel trainings based on the following situations: (1) LESS THAN 3 PARTICIPANTS PRE-REGISTER, (2) INCLEMENT WEATHER, OR (3) OTHER EMERGENCIES.
Registrants will be notified by phone/email as soon as possible. Alternative dates will be selected at BHPC’s discretion. Refunds will not be issued; however, credits will be offered to attend training on the rescheduled date or an agreement to attend a replacement training will be offered cost is equal.
OFFICIAL CERTIFICATES:
BHPC DOES NOT provide replacement certificates and is not responsible for re-issuing lost or damaged training certificates.
BHPC REQUESTS TO PROVIDE ADDITIONAL OFF-SITE TRAINING:
Based upon the availability of scheduling, BHPC can offer off-site PD training at your facility upon request. This agreement is solely at the discretion of BHPC and the following conditions must be met:
- The workshop date requested does not conflict in any way with the existing BHPC schedule of trainings or events,
- Requests must be submitted at least 30 days in advance;
- A non-refundable $25 fee must be paid to secure a training date and time agreement,
- A minimum number of 7 persons must be present
- Fee for 2-hour CHC workshops are generally $6 per person. Fee for CEUs will vary depending on content, number of contact hours associated, and supplementary materials required.
Early education programs may request outside agencies other than BHPC to provide PD trainings at their location sites. Please be reminded that unless sponsored by BHPC, all provisions including materials, equipment, and official credit hour certificates are the sole responsibility of the parties making the agreement.
Our lead agency, Craven Smart Start and other community PD training partners, may consult with BHPC before honoring off- site requests to avoid scheduling conflicts. If our current training schedule does not meet your PD training needs, BHPC will be happy to share information on neighboring counties’ training schedules whenever possible.
On occasion, we may offer opportunities for professional development trainings related to specific early care and education endorsements for individuals or for entire programs. These types of opportunities may be offered at special rates or low cost depending on terms, conditions and expense requisites.
